Sip and Swine BBQ Festival – March 2-3

The Fat Redneck BBQ Company will be competing in the Sip and Swine BBQ Festival at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville, Georgia.  This years festival will be held on March 2-3.  This is one of the best BBQ contest in the South.  Always very well run and always a large and tough field of competitors.

Sip and Swine’s mission is two-fold: to showcase and promote the appreciation of competition BBQ in a fun-filled festival environment and to support our community by donating all of the proceeds of the event to the Home of Hope @ Gwinnett Children’s Shelter.

The third Annual “Sip & Swine” BBQ Competition is a fully sanctioned national event with the Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS). It will feature two days of Barbeque competition within a large competitor and vendor village located in the parking facilities of Coolray Field. There will be numerous options for food and refreshments, live music performances, and will provide an overall family friendly, casual and fun atmosphere.

Competition categories include Chicken, Pork Ribs, Pork, and Beef Brisket. The Backyard teams will compete in all categories barring Beef Brisket. Only the Professional Teams, who are competing in all of the barbecue categories, are eligible for Grand Champion or Reserve Grand champion awards.

The Sip & Swine Vendor Village opens at 3pm beginning Friday March 2nd.
Be on the lookout for a fine assortment of delicious food, as well as vendors selling everything from craft items to jewelry.  Since admission is FREE to Sip & Swine, there’s not charge for the concerts all day Friday and Saturday!  They have an incredible line-up of performers for you to enjoy.   On Saturday, March 3rd from 11:30-1:30pm, they have the People’s Choice competition.  The People’s Choice competition is judged by YOU (festival goers who purchase a People’s Choice Award Taster Kit).

So make your plans now and we hope to see you in March and we hope they say our name last….
